F.U.S.E. (Firefighters United for Safety Education) is a group of fire fighters
who are members of volunteer fire departments in western Monroe and eastern
Orleans Counties who are dedicated to providing our communities with safety
education and awareness. With decreasing numbers of volunteers in the
Emergency Services and the increasing costs of training and educational supplies
we have found it to be much more effective and efficient to combine our resources
and personnel. We are not limiting our activities to just the young at school, but
also the elderly, middle aged and young adults as well. We are continually
exploring new ways to progressively touch our communities with many safety
topics through safety fairs, child interaction tools, school fire prevention programs,
senior education, informational booths and community interaction at fairs,
carnivals, and festivals. It is our goal to bring attention to safety and in doing so
save a life or stop an injury from occurring.  We all were in a field of helping
people who were injured or suffering a devastating life event, what better way to
do this than to stop it from ever happening in the first place.

MISSION STATEMENT:
To effectively provide the communities of Western Monroe and Eastern Orleans
counties with safety education and awareness.  We strive to do so by optimizing
our time, talents, and resources so that we may reach across our communities to
affect peoples of all ages in the field of fire prevention and safety.

VISION STATEMENT:
Working together so that all members of the community will have increased fire
safety awareness in every aspect of their daily lives.
